Our carers’ writing group meets monthly in Leicester city centre to share creative ideas and preside over the poetry pharmacy. We ‘prescribe’ poems to other carers to offer comfort in times of stress or to celebrate happy events and achievements.

As a volunteer you will join us in selecting poems and then send them out to carers. A poetry prescription can be presented in typed form or handwritten. Maybe you even have artistic skills and could decorate the pages with illustrations.
