I am the Projects Manager.

How did you get involved with The Carers Centre?

My role at The Carers Centre is to manage and deliver the self-advocacy and support groups known as the Together We Care Groups as well as a number of other projects.

Originally trained as a social worker, I have mainly worked within the voluntary sector – both with individuals as an advocate and also supporting voluntary sector organisations to influence the strategic planning of health and social care services.  I am passionate about supporting people to improve their well-being as well as enabling them to have a voice and the knowledge necessary to secure the support for themselves and the person they care for.
