Every week groups of carers get together to join in with wellbeing activities that are fun, relaxing and helpful for staying well. This project is for you if you feel it would help your wellbeing to have:
- some time out for yourself
- a short break from your caring responsibilities
- help and support with staying well
- support and understanding from other carers
- a laugh and some fun!
Our current rolling programme of weekly activities includes:-
Mindfulness with Lance
Relaxing guided meditation. Find out how to live in the present and cope better with life’s challenges.
Poetry Reading and Creative Writing
This is another way to express your thoughts, imagination and creativity.
Drama with Priscilla
Have fun reading plays, different voices and characters. Entertaining and plenty of laughs!
Chairobics with Claire
Chair exercises. Moving & stretching.
Golden oldies pop music, fun uplifting session.
Tai chi with Claire
A gentle exercise that can can help with balance, blood pressure, flexibility, agility and stress
Our weekly activities are relaxed, friendly and welcoming. The activities are chosen by those taking part and are at different times to suit as many people as possible. The sessions are delivered online via Zoom - we can talk you through how to use Zoom if it's new to you).
