Every week groups of carers get together to join in with wellbeing activities that are fun, relaxing and helpful for staying well. This project is for you if you feel it would help your wellbeing to have:
some time out for yourself
a short break from your caring responsibilities
help and support with staying well
support and understanding from other carers
a laugh and some fun!
Our current rolling programme of weekly activities includes:
Mindfulness with Lance Relaxing guided meditation.
Find out how to live in the present and cope better with life’s challenges
Poetry Reading/Creative Writing with Sue
Another way to express imagination and creativity
Drama with Priscilla Have fun reading plays, different voices and characters. Entertaining and plenty of laughs!
Chairobics with Claire Chair exercises. Moving & stretching.
Golden oldies pop music, fun uplifting session
Tai chi with Claire a gentle exercise that can can help with balance, blood pressure, flexibility, agility and stress
