National Carers Week is almost upon us!
From 14th - 20th June 2010 CLASP The Carers Centre, County Community Action Teams and Carers Workers from many other Voluntary and Statutory Organisations are working together to provide events and treats for carers across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The vast majority of events on offer are FREE to carers and they range from an 'Ascot' picnic (fancy hats a must!), to pampering sessions, to cream teas at local Garden Centres.
CLASP is starting the week off with the Carers Cuppa at the Tea Rooms at Leicester Town Hall which will include the launch of the Respite Care Directory for Carers of Older Adlts, so come along and meet us, get some information and answers to your caring related questions as well as enjoying a cuppa.
Across Rutland the 'Who Cares?' Rutland Roadshow will be visiting a number of locations offering you the chance to meet and talk to Carers Workers from a number of organisations who offer advice, support and information.
For the foodies amongst you there are Carers Cuppas, Carers Drop-In Coffee Mornings and Carers Cream Teas to enjoy across Leicestershire and for those of you who are creative the week will end with a 2 day 'Crafty Carers Exhibition' where carers can exhibit their craft skills. Come along and enjoy a great display of pottery, quilting, card making, knitting, weaving and much more.
FOR ALL THE DETAILS OF WHEN AND WHERE ALL THE EVENTS ARE PLEASE SEE OUR EVENTS PAGE ABOVE.
